Description

This 45.7 cm terror bird plush is the perfect gift for any prehistoric enthusiast! It comes with an educational hang tag detailing the fascinating traits that made these birds such formidable predators.

Phorusrhacids, or terror birds, were a family of large, flightless carnivores that thrived in South America from the Paleocene to the Pleistocene, dominating their ecosystems as apex predators. While no confirmed phorusrhacid fossils have been found in Australia, the continent had its own giant flightless birds the Dromornithids, or "thunder birds." Unlike terror birds, dromornithids are thought to have been herbivorous or omnivorous rather than active predators.

This plush is a fun and educational way to bring the prehistoric world to life!
