Description

Remigolepis is an extinct placoderm of the Late Devonian period (360 Mya). It had a long boxlike thoracic armour and bony jointed pectoral appendages and grew up to 350mm in length. Remigolepis had distinctively short oar-like armoured pectoral fins and a heavily scaled tail. This highly detailed model (160mm long, scale 1:2) is made of gypsum and has been created by palaeoartist Bruce Currie.

After initial printing the model undergoes a secondary process that enhances surface quality, accentuates colouration and provides protection against UV damage and handling. This model also receives a small amount of hand finishing before being packaged and shipped along with a detailed information card.
