Description

A decade of dedication: The digs of Dinosaur Cove

Australia’s polar dinosaurs.

In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

The excavation of Dinosaur Cove on the Victorian coast of southeastern Australia was a ground-breaking project which, for the decade between 1984 and 1994, was to consume the lives of palaeontologists Tom Rich and his wife Pat Vickers-Rich, their two young children and a host of dedicated volunteers. This is a story of hard work, unwavering commitment and personal sacrifice that, in the face of extreme hardship, was to see the discovery of several new dinosaur species and open our eyes to the incredible former world of Australia’s polar dinosaurs.
